BIOGRAPHY

- 1906 – At age 16, a municipal teacher in Camiling and Gerona, Tarlac.
- 1908 – At age 18, enlisted in the Philippine Constabulary, from private to supply sergeant.
- 1913 – 1914, entered the Constabulary Officers School now known as the Philippine Military Academy. Graduated as Valedictorian and commissioned 3rd Lieutenant in the Philippine Army.
- 1916 – 1917 served in the Lanao pacification campaign, sustained wounds from Moro spear, and in the Bayang Cota this time, by bullets.
- In Lumamba, Lieutenant Santos and his men engaged in a bloody hand-to-hand combat, killing 30, and thus preserving the lives of government soldiers.
