LT. JESUS M. LARRABASTER, PA

A heRO IN HIS OWN RIGHT

  • Graduate of Civil Engineering Course from the University of the Philippines
  • Corps Commander of the Reserve Officers Training Corp (ROTC) 1932
  • Also Graduated from the US Calvary School, class 1937- 1938 as Calvary Guard
  • Honored as “Hero of the Year” by the Provincial Government

SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION

  • Commissioned as the 1st Lieutenant of the Philippine Army
  • Forefront defendant of Koronadal and Alah Valleys during World War II
  • He was encharge of implementing the pans and programs of the Koronadal Velley Project (KVP)
  •  Promoted as the Supervising Overseer of the 3 districts – Marbel, Banga and Norala
  • Designated as the Acting Manager of the National Land Settlement Administration (NLSA) in 1942
  • Under his supervision, the 1st Catholic Church in Marbel was built where his wife Carmelita Larrabaster donated the statue of St. Anthony de Padua which became the Patron Saint of Marbel  and celebrated every 13th of June
  • He was elected as the President of the Rotary Club of Cagayan de Oro (1959 – 1960, 1961 – 1962)
