The Philippine steamship BASILAN SS was built in 1902 by Gourlay BRos, Dundee, England as the Australian passenger/cargo steamer Victoria SS for Huddart Parker & Co Pty Ltd, Melbourne, Astralia. In 1925 she was renamed Gouverneur General Roume SS – and in 1936 BASILAN SS. She was scuttled at Cebu after Japanese action during the invasion of the Philippine Islands on the 10th April 1942.
